Congratulations to our senior footballers who defeated Upperchurch Drombane in R3 of the County SFC. An early goal from Eoin O’Connell proved to be the difference as we won on a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-09. This win secures a second place spot on the table and qualification to the quarter finals due to be played the weekend of the 19th/20th of September.

Best of luck to our senior hurlers who take on Holycross Ballycahill in the preliminary quarter final of the County SHC on Saturday in The Ragg at 5pm.

Hard luck to our premier junior footballers who were defeated in R3 of the County PJFC by Borrisokane on a scoreline of 2-14 to 3-18. Despite the loss, we will still qualify for the quarter finals.

Hard luck to our Junior A hurlers who lost out to Thurles Sarsfield in the Mid Semi Final on Tuesday night. In what was a very wet and blustery evening, three quick goals in succession from the Sars in the second half put the game beyond reach on a final score of 4-15 to 2-10. We wish the best of luck to Thurles Sarsfields as they progress to the Mid Final.

Best of luck to our Junior C hurlers who take on Thurles Gaels in the Mid Quarter Final on Friday night at 6:15pm in Castleiney.

Best of luck to our minor hurlers amalgamated with Moyne Templetouhy who take on Drom Inch in the Mid Minor B semi final in Templetouhy on Wednesday at 6:30pm.

On Saturday morning our U12’s played in the G2 Hurling Mid Final against a very strong Boherlahan Dualla side. We made a great start and took an early lead but once Boherlahan Dualla took the lead before half time we could never catch them. Our players never gave up and stayed playing right to the final whistle. A big thank you to all who helped out on the day and the 22 players who played.
