Hard luck to Eoin O’Connell and the Tipperary Senior Footballers who’s intercounty season campaign came to an end on Saturday as they were defeated by Wicklow on a score line of 1-17 to 0-12 points. We congratulate Eoin on a great personal season with Tipperary, establishing himself as a prominent defender on the intercounty stage and thank him for representing Loughmore Castleiney throughout the season.

Hard luck to Cathal Ryan and Daniel McDonnell who were members of the Tipperary U17 panel that narrowly lost out to Kilkenny on a scoreline of 2-13 to 2-12. 

Best wishes to the Loughmore NS in their Under 13 Co. Final versus Clonoulty in Semple Stadium at 4.40pm on Monday 8th June.

The annual Eddie Connolly memorial tournament took place in Cugilla on Friday last. Teams from Loughmore NS, Castleiney NS, Moyne NS, Templetuohy NS, Ballycahill NS, Lismackin NS, Leugh NS and Clonmore NS all took part in a great tournament. Congratulations to Loughmore NS who were Division 1 winners and to Clonmore NS who were Division 2 winners. Thanks to all who helped organise such a great event in memory of Eddie Connolly.

Our U6s had their first blitz of the year vs Templederry in Castleiney. We had 3 teams, 20 kids, playing on the evening with everyone getting involved across the 3 games. Our U8s hosted JK Brackens on Saturday morning. We each had 3 teams of 8, playing both hurling and football games with fantastic skills on display.
