Junior C Hurling
Our Junior C hurlers were out in action on Saturday evening against Boherlahan Dualla. In what ended up being a 13 a side game as BD were short on numbers, but we ran out winners on a score line of 1-26 to 6-8. First half goal by Dara Nolan.
Intercounty Hurling
Well done to John, Noel and Brian McGrath and Declan Laffan (selector) who came away with a draw in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship against Waterford on Sunday. This now leaves Tipperary needing a win in both games against Clare and Cork to maximise chances of qualifying from Munster again this year.
Intercounty Football
Hard luck to Eoin O’Connell and the Tipperary Senior Footballers who lost out to Cork in the Munster SFC semi final on Saturday. Despite a very strong and competitive opening 45 minutes, Cork got to grips with the game and came away winners on a score line of 4-18 to 1-12.
Primary Games
Loughmore Castleiney GAA Club was very well represented in the Primary games in both hurling and football this weekend. Well done to Sean McGrath who played at half time of the Munster SFC Semi Final in Semple Stadium against Cork and to Moira Ormond who played at half time of the Munster SHC clash against Waterford in Walsh Park. It is great to see such talent emerging in the parish, and congratulate both Sean and Moira on hopefully the start of long careers ahead in the blue and gold.
