Junior A and C Leagues get underway
On Sunday in Cugilla our Junior A team and Junior C teams kicked off their league campaigns against Drom Inch and Killea respectively. The Junior A team were first up with at 12pm and despite being level at half time, Drom finished the game stronger winning on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-16. At 1:45pm, the Junior C team took to the field and despite a very strong performance throughout, Killea beat us on a 3-17 to 2-14 scoreline. Well done to both teams on kicking off the season and we look forward to an enjoyable league campaign for both teams as they prepare for championship.
U13 Medal Presentation
Our victorious Under 13 hurlers from 2025 were presented with their medals by Tipperary minor hurling manager James Woodlock this morning March 7th in Castleiney. James spoke extremely well to the lads mentioning the value of positives in attitude, discipline and learning in training so as to reach their potential as individuals and as a group. He mentioned these young men are vital over the next few years to follow on the proud legacy currently been made in our club at adult level. Our thanks to James for giving up his time in an already busy schedule for coming over to Castleiney this morning. A special thanks to Sadie for the photos, Aine and Audrey and anyone else involved for organising the catering. All very much appreciated.
Juvenile Training
Saturday the 7th of March saw our U8 boys and girls started their 2026 season off with a great session on the astro field. It was great to see all the kids back and eager to train.
Medal Presentation and Club Social
The Medal Presentation and Club Social will take place at Revel @ The Ragg 7pm on Saturday 28th March. Tickets are €35.00 with a Fork Buffet Reception. Music on the night will be by Acoustra. A Date for your Diary – Club Golf Classic
The Loughmore Castleiney GAA Club will be taking place on the 15th of May in Thurles Golf Club. We will be distributing details on tee times and sponsorship opportunities in the coming weeks.
