Hard luck to our Ladies Footballers as they lost out to Slieve Felim Rapparees in the first round of the league. Despite very tough and windy conditions in Cugilla, the girls put in a great performance and are looking forward to the rest of the year!

Our under 14s and 16s footballers had a very rewarding football training session with Clare Minor Football manager Joe Hayes this morning March 1st on the Astro pitch. Joe was impressed with the effort and attitude from our lads and brought some great ideas picked up by our club coaches present. Joe gave an excellent speech to the boys at the end of the session mentioning positive work rate and attitude as key training requirements. Many thanks to Joe for coming over to take the session.

Congratulations to the Tipperary Senior Footballers and our own Eoin O’Connell who had a good victory against Leitrim in Clonmel on Sunday, winning out 1-18 to 0-8. This now leaves Tipperary in 3rd place with Wicklow and Waterford left to play.

This week’s jackpot was €12,950. Numbers drawn were 9, 15, 23, 27. No winner. Lucky dip winners were Richard Maher, The Gleeson Family, Pat Healy and Charlie Evans. Next draw is on the 4th March.
